Welcome

Although many of the factors that contribute to mental health concerns are shared by men and women, women are confronted with certain unique cultural, social, and biological factors that must be considered and integrated into the therapeutic program to have success.

I believe that a woman-centered approach to therapy is necessary to put you on a positive path to growth and empowerment.

Within this context, I offer psychological services to treat a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems, including anxiety, reproductive-related mood changes (e.g., premenstrual or menopausal irritability), depression, stress, and relationship problems.  My orientation to psychotherapy is cognitive-behavioral, but I integrate and assimilate interventions from various scientifically supported psychotherapy approaches to address the unique needs of each woman in order to help alleviate suffering, empower her to cope with life’s challenges, enhance wellbeing and resiliency, and live a more fulfilling life.

It is important to accept that you cannot change difficult situations of the past, but know that we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. We will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

If you're searching for guidance and support through a challenging situation or just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

Please call or email me for a therapy consultation today.  I offer a complimentary 15-minute telephone consultation.
I am fluent in English and Spanish.
